Observation Point

Personally this is my favorite hike in Zion(so far)  I like less crowds, more freedom to explore around and the opportunity to stay the night and really get to know a place. (Check out my BLOG tab at the top for details on Backpacking Observation Point Trail and staying the night.)

  • Description: Observation Point Trail - Zion National Park is a 8 mile out and back trail located near Springdale, Utah that features a river and is only recommended for very experienced outdoorsmen. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year round. If you are a local I'd recommend hiking it around March, its warming up but there are few crowds at this time of the year, not to mention you can drive there yourself.
