Maroon Bells

A little off the beaten path but this view was so worth it! We made it for Sunrise but didn’t get any clouds until the sun had risen. Definitely plan on coming back in the Fall some time!

Palisade, With 25 Different wineries, makes it Colorado’s Wine Country!

One summer Michelle and I were driving home from Denver back to Utah and decided to stop 5 miles before Grand Junction in a little town called Palisade. It was such a pleasant surprise for us since we love a home grown wine, character of a small town, and delicious food pairings with the wine! We decided to check out Maison La Belle Vie Winery since its an authentic French-style Vineyard and Winery and Michelle is fascinated with France and its culture. It should also be mentioned that It boasts several award winning vintages! We even had the pleasure of having a foreign exchanged student from France wait on us, bring us this amazing platter and really made us feel like we were in France! We were able to sample wines for free and it was a gorgeous vineyard to walk around. We only checked out this one but could easily make a weekend of it. You can take tours in limo’s to horse carriages going on a wine tasting tour so you don’t have to worry about driving since i’m sure Uber is limited in such a little pleasant hidden gem that has the beautiful Colorado running right next to it.
